Since doing BDFD, I’m calmer in my day to day, I don’t feel as stressed, overwhelmed or weighted down as I previously experienced before the sessions. This container allowed me to work through feelings and tension that I’d been bottling up.

Every BDFD session was different and I enjoyed the peace and feeling of contentment that would wash over me after each session. Prior to BDFD, I was carrying a lot of guilt from the decision I’d made; choosing not to see an immediate family member I’d cut ties with before they passed away. A small group, Transformational Breathwork program for people ready to quiet the constant analysing and overthinking and teach their body a different way to respond.

Over four weeks, you’ll join a small live group for guided breathwork journeys where your body can release stored tension, regulate your nervous system and begin responding differently to the situations that used to trigger stress, overthinking or emotional reactions.

This isn’t about learning more tools or
analysing your patterns.

It’s about giving your body the space to
actually change them.


Each breathwork journey is different. Some sessions bring physical release. Some create emotional shifts or unexpected clarity. Others leave you feeling calm, grounded and more present in your life.

Because when you practise this regularly, your nervous system begins learning a different baseline to operate from.

The situations that once triggered overthinking, tension or reactivity no longer create the same response in your body, allowing you to respond differently in the moment.

What Happens During a Breathwork Journey

Breathwork isn’t about revisiting old wounds or processing past trauma (although that may happen if you need it). It’s about connecting to the parts of you that need resolving - which may look like releasing frustration, sadness or fear - so you’re no longer held back from creating the life you want.

Each breathwork journey works on multiple levels:

When you’re constantly in fight or flight, the body starts sending signals through things like skin issues, IBS, poor sleep, a short fuse or constant tightness and tension in the body. TB helps release tension and complete unresolved stress so your system can finally come out of that constant state of bracing

The physical

As your body releases stored tension and emotion, your nervous system recalibrates. Your thoughts, choices and actions start naturally aligning with the person you’re becoming, without force or effort.

The mental

Breathwork helps your body process emotions that were never fully expressed, which may look like releasing frustration, sadness or fear so those emotions stop driving your reactions, decisions and behaviours.

The emotional

Using a specific breathing pattern, blood flow shifts away from the part of the brain responsible for constant analysing and overthinking. This quiets the thinking mind so your brain stops running the same loops of analysing and second-guessing.

The energetic

When your nervous system shifts out of survival mode, your everyday situations start playing out differently.

I'M SARAH SCUALLY-LEAF, - breathwork practitioner, hypnotherapist and NLP coach living a life of freedom in Bali.

But only a few years ago - and I say this with complete honesty -
Transformational Breathwork saved my life.

I was a burned-out, deeply unfulfilled corporate lawyer, stuck in the same unsatisfying day on repeat and struggling in secret with PTSD.

I was overwhelmed with anxiety, bouts of depression, and I’d completely lost feeling alive in my life (you know… excited, lots of energy, deep fulfilment, a sense of purpose). I stopped believing that was even possible for me (thank goodness i didn’t stop there).

  • BDFD runs across four live Tuesday sessions - 7 April, 14 April, 21 April and 28 April.

    All calls are at 6pm Sydney time.

    Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes.

    This program is entirely live, so your only commitment is showing up to the weekly sessions.

    There are no pre-recorded modules or coursework to work through between calls.

  • No. This program is entirely live, so there are no set practices or activities between sessions.

    That said, things often become clearer during a breathwork journey and integration happens in the choices you make afterwards. That might look like having a conversation you’ve been avoiding, setting a boundary, or taking action toward something you want.

  • No.

    Many people who join Breathe Different, Feel Different have never done breathwork before.

    Each session is guided step by step, so you’ll be supported through the entire process.

    All you need is a quiet space, somewhere comfortable to lie down, and an openness to the experience.

  • Each session begins with a short introduction where I guide you through the breathing patterns and help you settle into the space.

    From there, you’ll lie down and be guided through the breathwork journey with music and facilitation.

    After the journey, there is time for integration and optional sharing before we close the session.

  • This style of breathwork requires live facilitation, so there are no recordings.

    Transformational Breathwork is incredibly powerful and many people experience changes after one session, so even if you’re only able to attend two or three of the sessions, it’s still incredibly powerful.

    BDFD is intentionally my most affordable small group program, so it’s priced to make the work accessible even if you can’t make every call.

  • Breathwork is a broad term that can refer to anything from slow, calming breathing used in yoga or meditation to more active breathing techniques.

    Transformational Breathwork works differently and is always facilitated. It uses a specific active breathing pattern that changes your physiology and temporarily quiets the part of the brain responsible for constant analysing and overthinking.

    As that part of the brain settles, your nervous system shifts state and your subconscious mind becomes more accessible.

    From this state, people are able to experience deeper clarity, insight and emotional processing than is usually possible through thinking or analysing alone.

    This is why even one Transformational Breathwork journey can have such a powerful result for people.

  • Most people can participate in Transformational Breathwork.

    However, it isn’t suitable for certain health conditions such as cardiovascular issues, epilepsy, pregnancy, or serious psychiatric conditions. A full list is provided on the checkout page.

  • While everyone’s experience is different, many people notice shifts after their first breathwork journey.

    The benefits tend to build the more consistently you practise, which is why many people return to BDFD each round.
